Are You Prepared…..For A New School Year?

I have a love/hate relationship with school supplies.  While I have heard stories of teachers who get “bored” during the summer, I am not one of them.  I LOVE spending my days how I want, having lunch with my husband, sleeping in (hahahahaha), etc.  But, I LOVE office supplies.  My Dad owned an office supply store when I was little and I spent Saturday mornings there, so I can only guess that’s where it came from.  Anyway, being that I love shopping, I love coupons and I love sales, I also love back to school supply shopping.  And you readers are super lucky because I am going to share the love with you!  Here are the deals for this week (they all start on Sunday, July 24, but I get the Miami Herald on Sat. at the store and it has all the coupons and ads in it 🙂

*If you don’t have an Extra Care Rewards card, sign up when you get to the store.  They’re free and they’re how you get the deals 🙂

Kleenex tissues are $0.88 and caliber 1 subject notebooks are 4 for $0.99

If you need a lunchbox, the summer coolers are part of the deal where you spend $30 and you get a $10 gas card.  You’ll  have to look around to find them, they’re not as available as they were a few weeks ago.  All the summer stuff is part of this deal, so it’s a good time to stock up on pool toys.  This is Florida after all, so we’ll use them all year long 🙂

I heart Staples!!!

Sharpie accent higlighters 2 ct., 8 pack of #2 pencils, 100 pack of lined index cards are all ONE PENNY!!!!  Limits are 2 of each unless you are a teacher, then the limit is 25.  One of the few perks of the job.  They let us buy more supplies with our own money than the rest of you can buy.  We are soooooo lucky!  But I digress.  The only catch with these deals is there is a $5.00 minimum.  Gone are the days of me walking in to 3 Staples a day with $0.27 for the deal.  Sigh……

Staples poly covered 1 subject notebooks (limit 3), Avery 5 tab insertable dividers (limit 2), Staples copy paper (limit 2) are all $0.50 (the paper requires and easy rebate.  If you select the PayPal option for payment, you get it back FAST!  Took 2 weeks to get my last one back, 4 weeks faster than the paper check which I usually forget to deposit.

A word about the Red Card.  Target has a debit card that links into your debit account, so it is NOT a credit card.  You can get a credit card too, but if you prefer not to, this is a great alternative.  You get 5% back on your purchase at the check out, so it almost pays for the tax.  HIGHLY recommend it!

Scotch magic tape and wrinkle free glue are BOGO and priced at $1.99.  If you got the Scotch coupon, that makes these free with coupon from the ad!

Pilot easy touch pens 2 or 3 ct., Crayola colored pencils, top design theme book, Penway or Wexford 3 subject notebook, or composition book, construction paper are all $0.99.

Mini memo or composition books $0.19 with coupon in the ad.  If you do a monetary system in your classroom that you use a debit/credit sheet for, these are the perfect size.

Reload laptop messenger bags are $9.99.
