Back To School Shopping – Week Four

I hope everyone had a successful week of Back To School shopping. Once again, a slow week for me due to this horrendous cold I’ve been fighting. On the bright side, I can sing like Phoebe….My stinky shoes….

This week, I will be doing most of my shopping on Friday. From August 3 – August 5, there is a tax holiday. School supplies under $15 each and clothes and shoes under $75 each are tax exempt. For a complete list, click here TaxExemptList. Office Depot will be my exception, as the sales run out quick and I need composition books and folders 🙂

For anything that says “with card”, you need a CVS Extra Care Card. It’s free and you get rewards while shopping with it. You can get one in the store, at the register. You’ll get “money” back to spend at CVS. You can also get coupons by scanning your card at the red kiosk in the store.

One strategy I use with this is to do two transactions. Do one with anything that will get you ExtraBucks back. Then use those on the next transaction. That way, you don’t forget about them.
